This Thunderbolt 3 dock is designed for use with MacBooks (OS 10.15 and later) and Windows laptops equipped with Thunderbolt 3, including models from Lenovo, Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, MSI, Razer, and more. It is also compatible with Thunderbolt 4 (at Thunderbolt 3 speeds) and USB-C laptops, as well as Surface devices such as the Surface Pro 8 and 7, Surface Laptop 3, Surface Book, and Surface Go. The docking station can be used in either horizontal or vertical orientation, with a base included for added stability.

Featuring support for 4K Ultra HD (4096 x 2160 30-bit color @ 60 Hz) to one or two monitors for Thunderbolt 3 devices, and 4K @60Hz to a single monitor or 1080p@60Hz to dual monitors for USB-C devices, this docking station offers exceptional display capabilities. Note that Macbook Air and Macbook Pro 13” with the M1, M2, or M3 CPU will only display to a single monitor due to chipset limitations, while Macbook Pros with M1/M2/M3 Pro and M1/M2/M3 Max CPUs will work with dual displays. To set up, simply connect your laptop to the Thunderbolt 3 port using the included .8 meter Intel Certified TB3 cable, and then connect to your dual displays using two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.2 ports, or one of each.

The 170 Watt Power Supply delivers up to 100W power for charging laptops via power delivery 3.0, making it ideal for devices like the MacBook Pro 16” and other laptops requiring 100W of power or less. This additional power can also be used to run peripherals like hard drives, as well as for charging phones and tablets.

Other features of the docking station include an SD card reader and Micro SD card reader (both UHS II SD 4.0), one USB-C Gen2 port (up to 10Gbps with 5V/1.5A charging), six USB-A ports (one Gen2@10Gbps with 5V/1.5A charging, five Gen1@5Gbps with 5V/0.9A charging), a Gigabit Ethernet port, a 3.5mm headphone/speaker and microphone combo jack, a Kensington lock slot, VESA mounting holes, and support for horizontal or vertical orientation with the included base. Additionally, the docking station comes with 3 year coverage and lifetime Kensington technical support.

Finally, it's important to note that this dock supports the Gigabit Ethernet standard, offering a maximum data rate of 1Gbps. Actual Ethernet speeds may vary depending on factors such as Internet bandwidth, Ethernet cables, network switches, and the hardware and firmware performance of the host computer.
